How long does it take to develop a game that uses even the 50 gig now available? and you want them to use 400gigs!!

It is of little to no use except for maybe lazy or inefficient programmers.

Not saying the PS3 is compatible or not.

But what you state is a common misconception, although limitations can push developers towards creative workarounds, executeable code is usually tiny in comparison to graphics and audio data, more space available on disc relates far more towards being able to provide much more varierty of top quality 7.1 lossless audio, less compromised higher quality textures and such.

The PS3 architecture pushes programmers (executable code) towards efficiency, which in turn results into huge performance gains on the PS3 and decent gains on PCs, 360 and other platforms as well.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
