These n-layer blu-ray disks are technical stunts and bear no relevance to the real world. A few months ago, everybody was complaining how incredibly difficult it was to manufacture dual-layer discs with satisfactory yields (and affordable to buy). Imagine the yields and prices for 16-layer discs and you see how utterly irrelevant these items are (and probably will be) for mass production.
