well Yushire, for giggles I'll argue with you.

Suda games have such a low bar to be successful that it's no wonder that it reached that even with no advertising. Also the existence of Conduit and Madworld do not prove the "hardcore"ness of the Wii userbase, but solely that some producers thought it would be worth a shot.

That said, although your reasons seem circumspect, I agree that the Wii userbase should not be generalized and that there is no reason that the Wii's success should be ignored.

That could've been said in the DS before, now where is DS now? The showcase of DS before are Nintendogs and Cooking Mama...( I know I bought the DS and guess what the game that played often?)

We should just wait till next year if the Wii is really a platform for core games, as you can see its only this time that 3rd parties realized the importance of Wii core games and they releasing it in early 2009.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out
