1. Except Arcade games are usually brand new games, and the old games are usually re released with new graphics and improvements. On the other side, Nintendo just puts the old games exactly as they are out on the Virtual Console. Nintendo has more games because they have many games on previous systems, MS never had a system before Xbox so the fact that the retro stuff is much less abundant is to be expected. A fart in the wind? Actual new games versus same old games. Which one takes more effort? 2. 50/12= 4 dollars and change not 8 dollars a month. 3. I really hope you don't mean Wii games will look better than 360 games in time, cause they won't, ever. Unless they are extremely stylized, there is no chance of any game on the Wii looking better than the good looking games of the 360, ever, not now and not in the future. |
Agree with these. I had fun with some of the older titles out there. They are fond memories. The problem is, they don't stand up (to me, anyway) once you start to play them. The horrendous graphics and lack of any real depth wear on me very, very quickly. Pac Man championship on XBLA is a great example of how arcade titles should be. The new, reworked missile command is also a great example. While at first I thought VC games would rock I am exceptionally uninterested after having downloaded a few. I guess I remember the as being better than they were, lol.
I own both consoles and they have their merits. I couldn't give one up for the other, though. In the console price wars, the Wii60 makes a lot of sense if you can afford both. When the PS3 is down in the low 300s or less, PSWii make make more sense -- especially if you have an HD screen.
As far as Media is concerned -- yes, it's overpriced. The 24 hour download period is also ridiculous. I won't be using that part of the system unless a)prices come down and b)they extend a rental to 5 days or so.
