videogames might not have the storytelling of shakespear or the artistic innovation of the renaissance but its a very new medium so with time it might be seen as more than just entertainment...
Don't get me wrong. A game like Portal is definitely art. It's just that Gears2 is the videogame equivalent of a summer blockbuster action movie. Not that anything is wrong with that.
