my biggest point is #10. i mean, come on. its 1 song, and only 2 phrases in that song. people are right in saying that sony overreacted. but few people understand why they reacted in this way..

i believe its a huge marketing idea. they could've just swept this thing under the carpet. i mean, no one aside from the several thousand (?) arabic consumers would even understand it at all. the main markets wouldn't care, so why blow it up out of proportion?

its a brilliant controversy that sony themselves created. by itself, the song is nothing. they'd have absolutely no legal problems with this thing (grand theft auto can get away with a LOT more).

and i think its a great move. delay the game for a week, create a huge media show about muslims (which is always a hot topic especially in the US), get people interested, and increase potential sales. All happening at the same time with Sony looking like they're heroes by supposedly recalling the game for the rights of all consumers.
