Take 2 owns the IP (bought from Atari who got it from Hasbro who...etc.) and Levine is, allegedly, working on that in lieu of Bioshock 2.

 

Great, Bioshock did a good job taking System Shock 2 and updating it to today game culture. If he do it then I suppose I can rest my fear of the game getting completly butchered (*Cough* Star Control 3 *cough*). It just a rumor though, no confirmation:(
