I would have to agree. I didn't hear anyone complain about Hayley Westenra's music being in Endless Ocean (if you ever have a chance, go onto iTunes and look her up; people may complain they don't like her songs and that her voice is too high-pitched, but it's pure and soothing to your ears, and Twesterm and I will agree to that since we are Hayley Westenra fans), so why would anyone complain about this song being in LBP? Heck, I just read those two quotes on Kotaku, and how was that 'offensive'? If at all, it should be just add diversity to the game, but then again, why would they have lyrics of death and the like in a game that's going to be released to casuals? Should songs in that game be more cheerful? >_>
