how flattering. ^_^

I think the reason why so many people can't seem to get the majority of WipeoutHD trophies is simply because the descriptions of the trophies strike fear into the players. It's something that I and even Wipeout vets have fallen victim to some time in the past. At first, I thought all the gold trophies were impossible and even some of the silvers. Heck, just look at all my older posts about Wipeout. So instead of trying to aim for trophies specifically, I just sat down, tried to learn and adjust my eyes to the speed the game offered. As time went on, the game just got slower and slower, and the trophies began to get within reach.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if a wipeout noob (like me) can have the patience to overcome the massive learning curve. The platinum becomes somewhat reasonable.

HideoK: Man, if you can get to zone 40 with only airbrakes and 60 on normal, you definitely could get airbraker and zone zues. I'd say the only thing in your way of getting WipeoutHD platinum is the time it takes to get the damn arcade/campaign elite trophies.

I bet you did zone 75 with airbrakes only nope ?

I know the best I got to with airbrakes only was zone 44 and after a while I found it easier to only use airbrake ( for Anulpha Pass that is).

Patience is not the only issue with that game. Personally I found that long sessions of Wipeout made me more tired than others games and that the game was way too frustrating for my taste...

I think zone 55 should be the maximum for airbrakes only. At 55 it takes both the dpad and the airbrakes to get the first long curve pathway and the two sharp turns before the catwalk without massive crashes.

I also got tired alot from WipeoutHD. I think it's the long sessions + the massive amounts of color on the screen. Zone has made me feel light headed before since each session consist up to 13 minutes of staring at bright colors. I had to change my TV's settings to "night" mode to put less strain on my eyes.

But in terms of feeling tired, I'd say the award goes to BuzzTV. My family got sick of losing to me in multiplayer, so now I have to do 25 more games by myself... Single player is also very very boring, but shorter. I've fallen asleep many times while playing buzz before.

BTW: It takes a staggering 15-18 minutes for EACH multiplayer game. WTF!
