Yup, am aware of the difference of developers, which makes me question the art direction on the Wii version, since Mushroom Men has a lot crisper graphics. Yet I digress.

When did we first hear of the Ghostbusters project? Spring of 08? I think its reasonable for the project to take 2-3 years, as most games do. As for other devs making their own engines, for every 1 that is, 4 are licensing other people's engines. There's little use in making your own engine these days, as it sucks up financial and personel resources.

Mushroom Men is also their leading title and unique IP it would seem. It's not surprising to see it getting most of the special attention compared to an outsourced version of a game from Terminal Reality.

As for developers having little use in making their own engines, I guess Nintendo is doing it all wrong. You should go tell them.

You should know better than to make a point using a first person party. How about the other guys? Like Capcom continuing to utilize the RE4 engine, as one example?

"First person party?"  ^_^

Anyway, if the bigger companies are doing it then it must have some value.  It's just not feasible for everyone.
