One needs to understand the position MS was in with the first xbox and Nvidia screwing them over...and the timeframe they had to work with to release the 360 in order to be competitive.
MS is to blame for the RROD, but they didn't do it becuase they wanted to screw the user over...they were forced to release a 360 so fast as they couldn't make the original xbox anymore.

1. Had 3 Xbox360 systems - no RROD...DVD drive did die on my first one.

3. Its all about the games. PS1 was shitty piece of hardware at launch and it stopped no one from buying ps2.
