Really a very interesting concept. I'm more intrigued by the Venus Project which is an obvious take of Aristotelean ethics. Aristotle said that ethical people would make ethical decisions. Sounds right eh. And that people should seek to obtain the good or happiness which can only be obtained by making ethical decisions and choice in the polis or city-state. Meaning you do good things in your community and if everyone does it then you have a society of ethical people. That is inherently the basis of the Venus Project. Aristotle was quite a smart man eh.

The whole economic side of this is always one that is hard to tell because not even the best economist no anything about the economy. Which is why the crisis America is in right now has no soluble answer. But I think what anyone can get out is that the system is flawed. The bailout plan will fail because it was the wrong decision. Hell there was 999 wrong decisions and only 1 right decision and there isn't a person in the world that could tell you which was right. The capitalist system right now is flawed and needs reform...possibly unbias government intervention. Maybe a free market isn't the right way to go because the video is right... scarcity is the tool towards profits. Profits work hand in hand with the supply and demand charts. And they want to keep supply at a minimu and demand at a peak such they can reek the profits.

Thus this will cause poverty and the lack of requirements because they don't want supply to be at an abundance.

So even if you can't get past what it do note that the capitalist system is flawed and "ethically" wrong. It needs reform or something new and maybe their answer is right one or maybe not. Now the rest of the stuff about globalization its up to your or what you know about the economy to decide.
