Did the internet stop supporting wired connections when I wasn't looking? No, wait, it still works. The myth that you have to buy a Wi-Fi adapter is nothing but a PS3 fanboy talking point. As for batteries, they last quite a while if you don't often hold 24-hour marathons. I bought a ~20 pack a year ago and I still haven't run out - just another talking point.
