You're joking right? The controls were PERFECT. Prime wasin't a shooter, and was never meant to be a shooter thus the controls weren't adapted for shooters. I for one LOVED that control scheme. Lock-On as a very interesting edition which made Prime even more reminiscent of it's 2D predecessors. And how was Samus sluggish? They successfully incorporated platform jumping in first person view... something that was never done right before. WTH are you talkin about?!

I never said there was a problem with the lock on. It was one of the best features.
Samus was very sluggish in that game, and I am far from the first person to mention it. I will agree that it wasn't noticeable once you got into the game, but at the start it was very noticeable. Camera controls became an issue at a few points in the game and aiming extreme up and extreme down were problems especially when you had to stop and stand still to be able to adjust your angle, luckily you could hold down the left shoulder to hold the view as you moved but if you let go it snapped back to default.
I love MP, but its controls were far from perfect. I actually just got done playing it again recently in preparation for MP3. They incorporated a lot of awesome mechanics in the game and it was and still is a great game to this day. But there is no way you can convince me that the controls were perfect.
