well you dont Know till its over right?

But it is over.

The numbers don't lie. Microsoft and Sony arent selling enough to catch up or make as much profit.  Its done.

Unless were now counting the odds of a rare meteorite destroying every bit of Nintendo off the face of the earth.

you never know people might decide they dont care about the motion controls or whatever anymore and move to the 360 and PS3 i mean you cant judge the outcome of this gen in the first 2-3 years....

Words of Wisdom, both the 360 and PS3 have a large chance imo of atleast being on par or "Slightly" ahead of nintendo in terms of sales. although i could careless about sales i pick the console(s) were my fave  genre's/games are, and truth be told i grew outta mario awhile ago (2 years or so) so yeah not everyone thinks "OMG NINTENDO PWNS CAUSE IT SELLS THE MOST SO IT MUST HAVE THE BEST GAMES ON THE MARKET EVER" my ass it does.

Overall as they say "Its not over till the hot japanese chick sings" and guess what? shes still sing'n.

I know its your oppion, but I really want to know what makes you think this, despite theres a nice big fat stack of numbers on this site that says otherwise.

I mean after how many price cuts, bigger hyped/marketed games has the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 had, now still havent had a year of sales over Nintendo, yet suddenly going to change?

How is it suddenly the two consoles who struggle to break even half combined sales of the Wii on a regular basis, just suddenly shoot up to sell to pass it?  Not a little, I mean around ten million units.

Or the fact that the Wii still is selling based on software they'v released nearly during the first half of the year?  Even launch.

Its certanly not going to be third partys that are going to sell there systems,  the games will sell because the people that wanted the game already had the system.

Its certanly not going to be first party effort, considering they sell much less than third partys and even more less than Nintendo's first party offerings.

So with all that stacked up.  Yeah...  The hot japanese chick is still singing because you download a dodgy MP3.  She's finished, brushed her teeth and went to bed.

Just to be sure, that was sarcasm, right? It isn't very obvious in text.

The console war is not over. Not by a long way. So the Wii is winning in sales. Does that mean that the other two consoles cease to exist? That they will now get 0 sales a week?- Oh course not the other two consoles will still be there, but the whole point of a winner is too be the most profitable and have the most market share.  Which Nintendo has.

Just because there is a current winner, that does not mean:

1) It will always be the winner. There is a tiny chance that they will get sued for everything they own and go out of hardware. Very tiny. There is also a chance that Apple will make a console. There is also a chance that the world will explode the next time you say 'potato'.-  Theres also a chance of a gypsy curse from her magic crystal ball.  Wait whats the point of this post?

more to the point,

2) THAT THERE IS NO COMPETITION LEFT. Firstly, the way you worded it was wrong. The console war is definitely not over, because there will be an 8th Gen. Believe it or not, soon people will be tired of the Wii. And PS3 and 360. Then we will have new consoles and Nintendo will not win again because who wants to pay an extra 200 bucks for 'high definition'? Certainly not the Wii's target audience. We are not talking about 8th Gen oh course.  Were talking about THIS gen.  Theres more of that random prediction also.

At least 3/4 of Nintendo's loyal 20 million or so customers were probably revolted by the Wii and would not buy its successor, and for the reason i have stated, not many of the people who own Wiis will be queueing up to pay extra money for 'improved graphics' and 'hard drives'   The subject is about this console war not Pyshic hotline.

I have no doubts that the battle is Nintendo's. But the war is FAR from over....I'll get you next time NINTENDO!  *shakes fist*

Anyway, secondly, the other two consoles are still giving the Wii some competition. And as many people have said, the war is between PS3 and X360 now because the Wii has done so well that it has its own 'hate club' of PS360 owners. Where was I? Oh yes, so we KNOW the Wii is doing well with its 'innovation' and 'fun'. No need to rub it in.

We PS2 owners weren't doing this to you last gen...

Were we?

Oh PS2 owners were a lot.  More.  Worst.  From the Dreamcast dieing all the way up to release of the PS3.  The internet was not enjoyable for Nintendo or Microsoft fans.  Irony it was actually PS2 fans and Sony that bought up this whole console sale arguments before hand.
