XII?? Surely you jest, you would have been better served with X, IX, XIII or XII. XII was broken.

 

X's had the worst writing in the entire mainline series, IX was awesome, granted, XIII isn't even out yet what is wrong with you, and I don't know what you're trying to suggest that I would be better served with XII as compared to XII.

Final Fantasy XII was not broken. It was a masterpiece, worked exactly like it was supposed to, and was the pinnacle of the entire series, if not the genre.

Have you played the SNES version of FFIV or FFVII?  Those have terrible writing, though only because their English localizations were terrible.  When you mean by writing, do you mean how good the dialouge is or the question of the game having plot holes?  Just asking this because I don't know the difference between good and bad writing.  FFX's writing was just fine for a game localized from Japanese.
