I would rather have speed. As soon as I sign on into a game, be in a lobby with my friends who aren't in a specific game. I don't need to wait another five minutes for loading and walking around, and waiting for my denser friend to figure out how to use what. Consoles should be put in the game and play. While I like all the features, it's a pain in the ass to pay $400 for a game system and have to setup everything, install stuff, wait, get update, wait, pick game, wait, 1:30 seconds before I get to a title screen from the XMB, etc. Which brings me to my next suggested update, if I have a game in there, and I'm fiddling on the XMB, preload the game and let me skip (or get a quick version) of the logos. Won't happen, they're just going to keep making gaming less convenient and less about gaming. |
i agree with you since id get annoyed with walking through virtual space just to load up a quick game with my friends. i suppose sony wanted revenue from advertisements. sony see this as win win for them and consumers. i see it as a money making opportunity especially buying virtual furniture and virtual decoration seriously wtf. but i guess it will make sony money so that is why they bring out home and not something purely for the gamers. thinking about it, i wish they would just stop acting like a greedy corp and start acting like they have 2 successful past gen consoles and please all ps3 owners but that wont happen. hopefully the new interface and features on the xbox will be good. well i will find out soon enough since i will have both and both will be out at the same time probably.
