Honestly, I don't see how Home will make it easier. Plus avatars and social-MMOs are not exactly cutting edge or cool.

People who want to live a fantasy Second Life are playing Second Life. People who want to play games, play games.

How 'bout they put a couple of those people on to a team to figure out software emulation? How 'bout they fire the Home team, and hire a decent marketing firm to make effective ads?

from what ive seen and heard from home, Home is more of a gathering and supposedly team talk before entering a game. yeah there are social aspects but. just imagine being able to comunicate with ur clan easily through voice chat before entering a game and all entering at once. it could be all bs when the final build comes out but they have been putting emphasis on the gaming aspect and the connectivity with games high on there list. i dont know about you but what i miss about pc gaming and clan matches are the ability to chat to your friends before and during gaming. a (ventrillo + pc + cod4 + friends) > (ps3/xbox360 + cod4 + friends).

I would rather have speed.  As soon as I sign on into a game, be in a lobby with my friends who aren't in a specific game.

I don't need to wait another five minutes for loading and walking around, and waiting for my denser friend to figure out how to use what.

Consoles should be put in the game and play.  While I like all the features, it's a pain in the ass to pay $400 for a game system and have to setup everything, install stuff, wait, get update, wait, pick game, wait, 1:30 seconds before I get to a title screen from the XMB, etc.

Which brings me to my next suggested update, if I have a game in there, and I'm fiddling on the XMB, preload the game and let me skip (or get a quick version) of the logos.  Won't happen, they're just going to keep making gaming less convenient and less about gaming.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
