Why games fail at storytelling

I agree with this statement, interactive movies are less fun. I prefer games with no linear path, not ones where I watch some cutscenes, go down the only path accesible, then watch more cutscenes.

I don't see why anyone would flame you for the second bolded statement.

Nintendo is a gaming company = gaming console.

Sony and Microsoft are technology companies  = multimedia machine

Sony is responsible for one of the greatest storytelling development studios out there, Team ICO.  ;)
