The old right bloc has been alienated by the Christian right. Their odd fusion of dominionism and using the US as a tool for their eschatology is unattractive. I would rather support Obama and the Democrats than the Christian right. Al Sharpton says it best, "it is high time for the Christian right to meet the right Christians."
