It has to do with the fact the bluray costs so damn much while providing marginal benefits.

If it has marginal benefits, why, when I have to choose between the DVD edition or the bluray edition, do I always pick the bluray one? Once you tried it, it's hard to get back to the DVD.

The price will not be that high forever though. DVD wasn't cheap from the start as well.
