Guys, lets wait for a bunch of reviews to hit first. We know a bunch of sites traditionally "hard-mark" Wii titles - especially Wiimote heavy ones.

Show me proof of this.

There likelys isnt much bias at 1UP. There is surely some, listen to the podcasts, then read the reviews, its obvious. But there isnt ALOT of bias where they are just horrible and unreliable.

However one thing cannot be disputed. No console has the wide range of review scores that Wii has. You can check any game ranking site that exists mate. I have never seen so many reviews for the same game range from 40% to 91%. It is completely ridiculous. Then when you read the reviews, it gets worse, because alot of the stuff conflicts about the controls. I mean its unreal. The control scores in reviews for Wii games vary so unbelieveably widly that you are guaranteed a chuckle scrolling through the different games reviews.

The bad thing is the controls play an absolutely integral part in the overall score and enjoyment of the game. So you end up with

Gaming site 1 Controls were GREAT Score: 90%

Gaming site 2 Controls were mediocre Score: 62%

Gaming site 3 Controls were unresponsive and uninspired Score: 45%

Its not that any site is biased. Its just that with a new motion based control input for this gen, there are going to be massive difference in the interpretation of whether or not they are good. And thats going to keep the reviews ranging all over the place. I cannot wait to see what they do to the ratings of Mario Galaxy.

Ive seen reviews score down for games on Wii requiring to much motion, calling it excessive, Ive seen them scored down for being to little on motion controls, and Ive seen the games (Japanese) that dont use motion at all scored down, for not using motion on the Wii. Its like theres no middle ground, and I dont expect that to change for Galaxy. That game is going to get raped lol. No matter what, some people are always going to find the motion controls "clunky, unresponsive, to simplistic, to difficult etc etc"
