@Griffin: The Nazis did pretty much all of those, too.
And I would not wish the deaths of 220,000 German civillians because of it. Nor would I wish for 250,000 Germans to be suffering today because of what happened in 1945.
Not to mention that it wasn't just Japanese civillians, what about the Allied POWs, the Korean and Chinese labourers, the Malayian school children, and around 3,000 Japanese-American citizens.
