While there are one or two cartoons out now which I think are very funny and entertaining (Sponge Bob, Fairly Odd Parents,) I would have to say that most modern cartoons are just awful and long for the days of my youth when there were tons of cartoons that were great.
Naturally my opinion is tainted by nostaligia, but here are a few cartoons that I don't think come close to being touched by modern series:
