I really think the PS3 should get a price cut, in line with the holidays. Gears 2 will not be the top selling game these holidays (some wii title will be), but it will move consoles, many consoles.
BUT, if the PS3 is still standing (so within striking distance of the 360) by the end of these holidays, a Price cut won't be a tide-turner, it'd be the death blow to the 360. I'm guessing Sony is banking on that.
Personally, I don't think Price-Cut is a must, it'd be great, but a great bundle would be much more appealing.
