That's the same reason i hacked the PSP, i can not stand to the UMD's noise when i am in a quiet place, so i prefer to dump the UMDs in my Memory Stick and play from there, it's really silent, takes less battery and obviously, the loading times rule...
With the PS3 i can wait for loading, and it doesn't make much noise, but a handheld shouldn't be loud and slow...
