I don't want to get into a WoW versus EQ2 debate. I will simply speak for myself when I say that WoW is simply too dumbed down and simplistic for me to enjoy. I can see the appeal for someone that hasn't had any experience in the genre but other wise for me it is an average game with low requirements that allow it to run on practically any PC. |
We can agree to disagree on the "dumb-down" on the genre, but have you had a chance to try POTBS yet? I have been VERY pleasantly surprised at the game, as it's like an updated version of Pirates with extensive MMO action. I've always loved that age of sail period in the Carribean, and this game nails it nicely. If you get a chance, check out the 14-day trail, you might like it. nothing to sway me from my WoW addiction, but it'll do as break from time to time. The problem with MMO's is thatthey take SO MUCH TIME, once you get into it. I'm going to buy like 10- 360 games this holiday season, but once WOTLK comes out, they are all gong to collect dust for months...most likely.
