I think that the slowing ecconomy will have a disproportionately small impact on the videogame industry as compared to other industries ...
For the most part, videogames are not a major expense in most people's lives and (therefore) are probably not going to be the focus on people's budgeting and (on top of that) a large portion of videogame purchases are made as gifts and a $60 (or even $200) gift isn't that large in the grand scheme of things.
