I think Obama is randomly trying to catch channel surfers or the late night crowd. He figures if they see him on a channel they are at least going to stop on it and see what he has to say.
Bizarre strategy, but fairly clever. I don't know if it is very cost efficient though, but then again Obama has money to throw around.
