You obviously dont use google much. http://www.xboxer.tv/2007/11/ps3_dev_makes_for_better_360_g.html http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/ps3-native-dev-makes-for-better-xbox-360-games http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/3519.html http://www.ripten.com/2008/08/05/ps3-development-making-360-games-better/ Those are just from a limited search. The skinny is that you need to streamline your code to work with the CELL. And in that way you make a far more clean running code for the 360 port. Makeing both versions run better. Epic phail confirmed. |
Ok, do you guys actually know how to program? Because what you say hurts my brain
You are both talking about different issues.
Starcraft, you are talking about the inherent loss of efficiency that results from porting between two different consoles
lemmiwinks, you are saying that the PS3 is a stricter platform to develop for, forcing programmers to write elegant and efficient code.
Starcraft it seems you do need to take lemmiwink's point into consideration
lemmiwinks, you completely neglect to consider that a developer and the programmers could simply make a 360 game efficiently, and then it would look better than an efficiently made PS3 game ported to the 360
So you are both right :)
You're also both wrong :P
