Gundam?  That's just robot shows in general.  They spend years training all these soldiers and they all get beat by teenagers.  The enemy generals would do a better job just throwing a bunch of orphans into robots.

 

To answer your question, I think that 00 has the potential to be my favorite Gundam show if season 2 turns out good.  the writing is good, and it echoes real world events and seems to be more mature.  personally I'd reccomend it.  If you get cable, it will be on sci fi channel in a few weeks.
