GC should be at #1. Best controller ever. Then Dualshock 2 at second, Wii remote 3rd, 360 4th, and then list whatever else.

Problems with the GC controller:

1. A button was the primary button and it was pretty unsatisfying to use

2. Useless C Stick and D-Pad (the Xbox 1 controller also suffered from useless crap on it)

I'm not saying it was a bad controller, but anyone would be likely to claim that the best controller is the one they've spent the most time with (being a ToS fan, you've probably played with the GC controller a lot).

Anyways, the Wiimote brings a new function, but it doesn't perform it perfectly. Hell, it's not even that well implemented in some of the Wii's best games. Every time I tried to scratch my nose while playing Super Mario Galaxy, Mario made a random spin in the air. When I tried to scratch my leg, Tony Montana goes on a rampage. The motion plus should help to fix these problems, but it's not the best controller ever because of its function. Rather, a controller should win because of its design (something the Wii isn't perfect in).

As for the 360 controller, it really is a good controller unless you suffer from having tiny hands. The triggers are responsive and somewhat satisfying to use. The shoulder buttons have a nice click. The analog sticks are well placed and give you good control over your character. And the buttons feel like they have some impact. The D-Pad is horrible, yes, but I don't think any of you should complain unless you've played a fighting game on the 360. If you have, feel free. Seriously, don't even bother playing Virtua Fighter 5 on the 360's D-Pad.

I'm sure you could make a better list, but would it cause pages of controversy like this one has? I think not!
