I didnt say exactly... guess i rubbed a fanboy the wronge way.

I never said "exactly". I used your word, "essentially". There are so many differences between the two controllers that I can't even remotely see how they are "essentially the same".

The 360 pad uses a four button diamond pattern with every button being the same size. The Wavebird has a large A button, a very small B button in the SW of the A, and two kidney shaped buttons in the North and East of the A.

There are two gun-like triggers on the top of the 360 pad with two buttons directly in front of them. There are two large button-like triggers that are shaped for the curve of your fingers, with a small Z-button in the front of the right trigger on the Wavebird.

The 360's left analog stick is housed inside a circle casing. The Wavebird's is inside an octagonal casing. The right analog on the 360 is the same as the left, while the Wavebird's has a small top unlike every other analog on the market with their mushroom tops.

The 360 pad has a Back(Select) button while the Wavebird does not.

The 360's D-Pad is basically a stiff unworkable circular button that moves in different directions while the Wavebird has a classic cross design and is very functional.

The handles themselves are inspired by completely different controllers. The 360's has obvious inspiration from the Dualshock while the Wavebird's got inspiration from the N64 controller.

On top of all of that, there's also the difference in the wireless where the Wavebird has a reciever plug into the controller slot to pick up the signal while the 360's is built into the console.

What makes them essentially the same? They're both wireless and take batteries?

Also nice call on the fanboy comment, especially considering how I never showed preference when I called you out. Nothing about either of my replies gives any clue as to which I prefer. So what exactly does that make me a fanboy of then?
