Regardless of the complexity of the hardware, a one billion dollar problem is a 'major design flaw'. Comparatively the problem that Intel had that dallas is referring to was a 500 million dollar mistake. Also, a 'major design flaw', though the Pentium brand survived, and even thrived, because Intel was willing to make quality paramount and did a full recall.
