I don't know all these you can do what you want to do things never made me want a RPG.
The best RPGs are not Oblivion, Daggerfall, Morrowwind with their endless character customization and huge worlds. You could become an Assassin, thief, buy a house, be a vampire or werewolf etc. in games as far back as Daggerfall. Which is nice but honestly it didn't make the game much better.
The best RPGs were games like Baldur's Gate 2 and Fallout 2 which had cool storylines, lots of elaborate quests that were not generated in any way but designed. So I am pretty sceptical about this single player MMORPG thing.
