My thoughts: the game is just bad.
Its been a while since I played it, but here's what I remember:
- Great art
- Great music
- You get enough money the first 15 minutes of the game to last you the rest of the game
- You don't get anything to do with the money until a good 10 or so hours into it
- The dungeons suck
- One of the dungeons (Fort Fermata) is probably one of the worst dungeons I've ever played
- At first the combat system is pretty cool but it just turns into button mashing and gets pretty dull
- You eventually get a character that is incredibly broken (the chick with the bow). She can heal your entire party and kill an enemy a turn. Using her makes it easy to get all the rest of your characters incredibly powerful because you never have to worry about dieing.
