The cost of BD may effect the pirates, but they do not effect the people who write hacks or make chips for consoles. BD is completelky irrelevant, the only thing it might affect is piracy on PS3 vs 360 if that day ever comes. With cheaper dvd's the 360 will be the sad winner/looser of that battle.

@Waron: I was talking about newer games. Those seem absent. Perhaps new bd discs also have some new type of protection on them to keep them from even being carbon copied (CC is the easiest way to copy if all else fails ofcourse)

 

Also, PSP and PS2 have been released with other codes and techniques. I am not calling the PSp/2 vs 3 comparison completely flawed, but it has some issues.
