First why would it be gimped? Make a game for one console then optimise it for the other, in the end you get 2 games optimised for their respective consoles. More DVDs cost money, in the end 3 or more DVDs cost more then 1 Blu-ray. (Doesn't it?) And yes, 360 sells more but over time that might not be the case, one detaining factor si that currently on the PS3 games they don't lose money from piracy.

I corrected myself and said it will not be gimped for the 360...
I did not read more than the first page of that article but it seemed to me like it was saying that PS3 will be the primary development platform soon. I don't see that being the case. It will definetly get all the major release 3rd party titles as its a profitable console to develop for...but as long as the 360 gets more sales I don't see why any developer would not use that as the main development platform. It has been said that developing for the ps3 will make games better for the 360 too...and I fully support this. However Im just thinking realisticly...360 is more PC related (hence easier to develop) and will sell more copies of a game (despite piracy) so why would any company in the right mind that is not sony sponsored decide to focus on ps3 and then try to get the 360 version ready after?
Look at howmany games were delayed for ps3 due to 3rd party developers inability to get good results. People will have to expalin the fiscal period reports to CEO's and stockhodlers on why the game missed its deadline due to development for a console which will not make as much revenue.
