It's pretty obvious that the PS3 userbase is hard to ignore for developers, and we've heard more and more reports of developers learning and understanding the PS3 architecture more and more as well. So if you have the resources and the time, why not develop for the PS3? The PS3's userbase is the smallest, but in context, it's big enough for investment.
Also (@ disolitude) as long as the PS3 version of a game (or any other console version) makes profit, it doesn't matter if it sells less that the competitors version. Also as long as a console's version of a game is taking advantage of the console's hardare, there will be no relative gimped version of that game.
