| Aprisaiden said: Hmm the DSi looks interesting but im not going to get one just yet since it loses the ability to play GBA games (from what i have heard) and reduced battery life. I do find it interesting though as Nintendo appears to be positioning the DSi as their new handheld, its full of new features and games that will only only work on it (DSiWare) -- its almost really quite interesting, and i wonder how SONY and others will react. |
Why would Sony react?
The DSi is everything that the PSP was three years ago. Photo viewing? Check. MP3 playback? Check. Removable storage? Check. Downloadable games, demos and the like? Check. Lower battery life? Check. (lol). Internet Functionality? Check. Camera? Check. Store to download games/demos/etc? Check.
I don't really see how Sony should react. It has everything the DSi has (aside from the touch screen, obviously) and more with Video Playback, Skype, and still, a much better screen among other things.
Not to downplay the DSi or anything, as I do believe that it is nice for DS only owners, and I do want to get a DS, for the mountanous amount of software it has, but there's nothing for Sony to react to.
