You can get a HD4850 for $170 and a HD4670 that matches the 8800GT/9800GT for $80. Yes, $80.

I wouldn't go that far... 128bit bus, 400 stream processors etc. If the 4850 is ~50% more powerful than the 8800gt then the 4670 cannot be a match for the 8800gt.

Therefore, the 4670 often matches the 8800GT/9800GT.
