This is the largest, most absurd red herring I've ever seen. Whoever blames this on that speech should be fired.

 

 Um. I think the main point this thread was pointing out the fact that she was being completly obsessive, before a very important vote. She wanted to make sure EVERYONE knew it was not her fault, that it was GWB. She can even control her own party, was it like 90 of her own party voted against it? She is a terrible leader.

Using that logic, then Bush and McCain are far worse leaders as they could only deliver 33% of their parties votes.

I agree that she is an idiot for making the speech.  But it is even more idiot to somehow think that affected the vote.  Both sides are playing politics here.
