Both my kids have Nintendo Wiis (of which we love) and my son even has a subscription to Nintendo Power. I love Nintendo. This weekend I bought a PS3 so that I could have a Bluray player for my new widescreen. I have to say that I was surprised at some things. Number one thing is that it doesn't run hot. It's not noisy. It's not even all that heavy. The controllers are not cheap feeling. In fact, I don't even notice that it has no force feedback. One thing that the Wii has all over the PS3 is the interface. No matter how much I try, I just can't stop thinking about how nice it would be to just point and click on the menus. Overall my first 24 hours spent with my PS3 have been very pleasant. |
Hmmm, I recently packed my ps3 into a bag and the bag broke and dropped onto one of my controllers. The controller subsequently broke but PS3 is still fine.

The latest model PS3s (the new 80GB in particular) are actually fairly lightweight, compared to their predecessors -- especially compared to the 60GB. Good tidings for a slimline late next year I think.
