twesterm, i think that you're oversimplifying things a bit here.

 

I might be but you still get my point.  It's going to be at least another two years until we see the next XBox and in that time BluRay players will significally come down in price.

As for the other stuff, that cost is always there so that isn't a huge worry.

Yes but these are problems that Sony has right now, that MS does not.  If MS does indeed get a BD drive on its next console then it will have to deal with several expense issues that just are not a problem at the present point in time.

 

So then it will be around the same price level as the PS3.  Personally I don't like the high prices but in their eyes as long as they're about level with Sony they really don't care that much.

 

Yes, and I guess that you realize that MS's status as a cost leader (relative to sony) looks doubtful
