Not really, b/c blu ray has brought costs up for the PS3 considerably, and still is holding them up b/c of:
-hardware/spec implied requirements for the GPU/CPU
-patents to panny and samsung
-not to mention the cost of the Blu ray drive itself
twesterm, i think that you're oversimplifying things a bit here.
