perhaps no but i'm going to stick with dvd for the time being in hopes that some of these issues work themselves out. if the cost of BR comes down a bit (specifically the discs) i'll probably end up getting one anyways. they fact that it's backward compatible with dvd is both an asset and a hindrence to BR. I feel no rush to move to BR because of the backwards compatablility but has an added value of not losing my pervious collection (unlike the transition to VHS).
