Believing Blu-ray will succeed doesn't make sense!!!?

Honestly, I think Blu-Ray will become the next laserdisc: a niche format for technophiles, but nowhere near the mainstream.

allow me to reinterate this for those who may have missed this very intellegent post.

VHS to DVD advantages: better picture, better sound, rewinding no longer needed, better durablilty, random access points, multiple languages audio, subtitles, new special feature capabilities (like commentary), significantly smaller size of media.

DVD to BD advantages: better picture, better sound, Restart at exit scene after ejecting, Better durability, more language tracks, more subtitles, new special feature capabilities (like online view), significantly larger disk space.

i've got nothing against HD but seriously they could have done a lot more to make the new format more appealing than only image/sound quality improvements.
