I have to say that Arrested Development may be the best written show of all time, front to back. Those motherfuckers set up jokes that they didn't pay off until over a season later, which is crazy in this ADD day and age. I've probably watched the whole series close to 20 times, and I still catch subtle jokes that I missed before. It's almost overwhelming the amount of subtle jokes they pound you with in the course of half an hour. Of course it was destined to fail, since it required thought to figure out the humor.
There's some other shows that I enjoy, like The Office, Scrubs, South Park, and in the olden days Cheers, early Simpsons, MASH, and Newhart. There's lots of other ones I grew up watching in reruns, liek I Love Lucy, but I haven't really seen them since I was a kid, so I'm not sure if I'd still find them entertaining. Most current stuff I don't go out of my way to watch as they run these days, (I do DVR The Office and Californication.) but if I stumble across them, I'll usually stick around for the rest of the episode.
The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.
