I do beleive that Blu-Ray does offer more in the way of content they can put onto the disks; things like bonus content, multiple tracks etc. can all be done on DVD, but the Blu-Ray with it's Java ability allows for much more interesting content than DVD, as well as the menu that can be pulled up during playback etc.

These factors also are difficult to put into a digital download, or at least are a lot more difficult to do making Blu-Ray better in my eyes in that respect (capped internet FTL)

That said, I only own three Blu-ray movie disks (Men In Black, Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, and Tallatega nights or however it's spelled) that is purely down to not having a large enough selection available to suit my tastes - yet.
However, as studios and printing companies make the Blu-Ray making process easier and cheaper I fully expect that to change.
