The crisis is nowhere near over. This is how we become socialists. It's a long and hard war, and we just won the first battle. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

It's funny, when the government gives breaks to "big oil" for the sole purpose of making sure the rich are taken care of, you think it's horrible. When then do the same thing under the blanket of helping out everyone, you rejoice.

If the first step towards socialism is duping your citizens to think the people in power are helping the little man, then you are right. Congress just one the first battle.

I was kidding.

I don't care how they fix this problem.  My only concern is that they do, because I don't believe a free market would, and I don't believe we have one or should start to have one now.  On the other hand, I don't think giving tax breaks to big oil is a solution to a problem.  I believe it is a problem.  If we'd been taxing big oil all along, this crisis wouldn't be as much of a burden on the middle class.

And I don't care about making sure the rich are taken care of.  I don't think anybody needs to take care of the rich.  By definition, they are rich enough to take care of themselves.  I think these companies should be saved, but I think the people involved should all be fired.
